Taking model and actress, Suki Waterhouse the star of Pride and Prejudice and Zombies and outfitting her in a wardrobe made of furniture is a complete u-turn from from her usual work fronting campaigns for brands like Burberry.
The campaign created by The&Partnership agency in London, follows up the campaign last year also titled “So Stylish You Can Wear It”.
In the ad “So Stylish Suki Can Wear It”, Waterhouse wears a number of outfits that, at first glance could be at home on the runway at the latest fashion show. But a closer look at the outfits will see viewers looking at the home furnishings. The first is a dress stylishly made out of piles of pink pillows, then a head piece featuring a clock, a hat that is actually a drawer and a rug wrapped around her in a dress.
Just like the original “So Stylish You Can Wear It” ad, the light-hearted ad leans in to the absurdity of people wearing furniture.
With lots of greenery and signs of the coming spring, the ad was shot at Pitzhanger Manor in London’s Ealing district
This is the culmination of a busy period for Argos and its buzzy ads. Effectively a music video for “Don’t You (Forget About Me)” by Simple Minds, its Christmas ad showcased a father fulfilling his Christmas dream of playing the drum with his daughter in front of a packed crowd, and was a holiday hit.
The ad premiered in the U.K. on Sunday during an episode of Homeland.
